TORONTO BOAT CRUISES FOR ANY OCCASION
TORONTO HARBOUR 2010

Spectacular Harbour views and interesting facts about the Harbourfront are just part of your boat cruise aboard any one of our vessels. To learn more about the harbour and Harbourfront centre just Click on the links we have provided on this page or Contact Us if you have any questions or comments. Toronto is Canada's largest city and sits on the north shore of Lake Ontario, on the largest fresh water system in the world. One of the city's highlights and tourist attractions is our waterfront. Under a new waterfront revitalization program our harbour area will continue to become more beautiful and interesting as the years go by.

When cruising aboard the Obsession III you will sail past the sights and sounds of what our Toronto Harbour has to offer:

  • Outer Harbour Marina, situated at the most eastern tip of the harbour, is a quiet green space catering to members and visitors alike.

  • The Toronto Port Authority manages the Port of Toronto and all the incoming and outgoing shipping. You'll see large lakers and salt water ships unloading at their Pier 35-51 docks.

  • Polson Pier and Concert Theatre, home to Cabana, Sound Academy and Solarium, situated in the eastern gap, provides a large arena for entertainment including live concerts, night clubs, a drive in theatre, a golf driving range, go karts and much more.

  • The Toronto Islands enclose our harbour with their beauty. Made up of a number of islands, the three main land masses are Wards Island, Centre Island and Hanlon's Point. Operated by the City's Park and Recreation Department, Centre Island boasts entertainment including the children's amusement park Centreville, restaurants, bike & boat rentals, a farm, sandy beach, and acres of green space. Ferry service is available to the three major islands from the ferry terminal at the foot of Bay St.

  • Sailing is a large recreational activity in Toronto. Within the harbour sit three yacht clubs. With over 150 years of history, Royal Canadian Yacht Club's "Tara" style clubhouse can be seen on the Island from the city side. The Island Yacht Club is located on Mugg's Island across from Hanlon's Point, and Queen City Yacht Club sits on Ward's Island amidst the people who call Ward's Island home.

  • Toronto's skyline has some very distinctive landmarks including the tallest free standing building in the world the CN Tower; the Rogers Centre (Skydome), home to our Blue Jays, Argonauts and large concerts with its retractable roof; Toronto's largest newspaper the Toronto Star building at the foot of Canada's longest street, Yonge St.; and Captain John's Seafood Restaurant a stationary vessel specializing in seafood.

  • Redpath Sugar Plant & Museum is over 150 years old and refines most of Canada's sugar. Redpath has the oldest Canadian food trademark starting in 1883. Visitors are welcome to tour the museum.

  • Guests can stay at any one of the local hotels. Harbour Castle Westin sits nestled between Yonge & Bay St and also has convention facilities. The Radisson Admiral is a smaller hotel that has suites sitting on the water's edge. The nearby Novotel and Fairmont Royal York hotels also provide stylish accommodations.

  • Harbourfront Centre is considered the focal point and centre of our waterfront. This thriving cultural centre promotes entertainment throughout the year. There is also a marina, Pier 4 restaurant, a boardwalk to stroll on, and sightseeing boat tours.

  • Shop till you drop at Queens Quay Terminal. Open 7 days a week, this posh building hosts a diversity of buying experiences.

  • The Island Airport located on the western gap allows you to fly in and out of Toronto from various locales without having to go to the larger International airport.

  • The Canadian National Exhibition grounds have hosted the annual "Ex" summer fair for many generations. Its National Trade Show complex presents shows year round.

  • Ontario Place is fun for all ages. This entertainment complex includes an IMAX theatre, water park, restaurants, marina, and rides.
