TORONTO
BOAT CRUISES
FOR ANY OCCASION Many of our clients ask the question: "Is it safe" to have a Toronto boat cruise. Toronto Harbour passenger vessels have an exemplary safety record. This is for several reasons. Our ship is regulated by Transport Canada Safety Marine division and its many experienced inspectors. Each spring before starting the cruising season, our ships and crew are inspected for mechanical, structural, and operational fitness. Every five years, the ship goes to dry dock to have her hull, shafts, propellers and other mechanical items thoroughly inspected. We carry the following safety equipment: three 75 man life rafts; 204 adult lifejackets, 22 children's life jackets; 4 life rings; 7 fire extinquishers; fire station with axe and fire hose; fire buckets; 6 flares; and an engine room equipped with a fire suppressing Halon system. Our officers: captain, first mate and engineer, have over 100 years of experience and are also certified by Transport Canada. Our hospitality staff are trained at a Safety program and are drilled every 14 days as per regulations. When we first set sail, you will hear the "Safety Announcement." This is also a must have, advising passengers what to do in case of an emergency. You will find "muster lists" in several spots on the boat indicating what to be done in case of an emergency. Toronto Harbour is also fortunate to have a Fire Boat and a marine police unit that carries a paramedic. These services are only a radio call away. At any time during a cruise, if you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to ask any of our qualified crew. We
have proudly served Toronto Harbour aboard the classy Obsession III
for over 16 years.
